15. Team 18

Other than a slight issue over having a family name during registration, Sora was faring pretty nicely. She had been plucked from the academy a year early on request of Toyotomi, who argued that she "did not need to be babied through toddler stuff" and was placed on a team under the supervision of Mikaiyo, the jounin who had been tutoring Toyotomi since he had graduated some years before. Toyotomi had been working solo and as a temporary replacement, waiting for a time where he might find "the right team." Sora was bloated with pride. Toyotomi had chosen her to be his teammate.

Watanabe Kaino, her remaining teammate, was mainly there because Mikaiyo was. He was a year older than her.

They were on their first mission on the same day she finished registration - Toyotomi finally getting a cell was probably a relief to the elders. Sora felt like running, skipping, jumping, everything. In the background she could hear Mikaiyo rebuking her about something or something along the lines of "you're heading the wrong way" but Sora didn't care. This was the happiest she had been in a long time.
